Book Writing Made Easy for Everyone

Writing your first Book is not as hard as  you might think, however, it is a demanding process. you cannot just sit and write a book without a clear understanding of what you will be doing for the duration of writing. Here are a 13 steps to help you write your first book and many to come later.

01.  Establish your writing space

This  might sound elemental but having a tidy and clean working space is one of the most important thing. The writing place must only have things that are needed and devoid of things that distract you.

02.  Assemble Tools.

You need to arrange the tools of your writing in advance. if you are writing in paper, then have pen, pencil, highlighter or all the tools needed. on the other hand, if you are writing on a desktop or laptop then you need to make sure that your system, power-line and other accessories are within your grasp.

03.  Break the project into small pieces.

If you are told to run a marathon tomorrow, you probably won't be able to or if you are told to lift of 100 kilograms then you might think it might be impossible. Yet if you break these works into small pieces, then you can complete this work part by part. Same logic applies to writing. If you are writing a 30,000 word book then, you can divide it in 10 part of 3000 words and then each part in 10 sub parts of 300 words and then complete one part at a time. It will make works easier.

04.  Settle on your Big Idea.

What is your story? What plot are you working on? How the characters are developing? decide a rough idea of how your book is going to be. Every man has a dream, a story that he wants to get the world to know. Just think about what that story is and Boom.

05.  Construct your outline.

Any story is like a beautifully woven pearl necklace. As you will try to break your project into several parts, you will realize the outline can work wonders in this matter. it will not only provide with smaller parts to work with but also a proper structure for you to work on.

06.  Set a firm writing schedule.

When you start writing, you cannot go like "I will write in my free time" or "I will write 2 hours a day". You need to set aside the time of the day for writing specifically. Lie any other activity such as gym or sports, you will need a set time to work and progress on our writing. the more disciplined you are with your schedule, better the results will be.

07.  Conduct your research.

A hint of reality is never going to hurt anyone. There might be times you might think that why do I need to conduct research for fiction, then you need to remember "reality is stranger than fiction", sometimes you might find some amazing structure in your story which can make your readers relate to the real world creating the story much more addictive.

08.  Write a compelling reader first opener.

"Hook, line, sinker". Basically you need to Hook your readers into reading the first few pages of your book. then pull them with lines and sink the in your work. Easier said than done,a better opening line can do all these. many times readers can get hooked to a book just by how amazing the opening line is. So work on it a bit more.

09.  Fill your story with conflict and tension.

A constant without any stress or chase is boring and readers won't be able to keep reading a bland story. You need to Keep ups and downs, falls and relieves, pushes and pulls to keep your readers entertain. Just make them think the chicken is finally free from its cage and life long struggle of being a captive and then show the readers a grilled chicken sandwich.

10.  Turn off your internal editor while writing.

"Don't look back". While writing the book, you will have and urge to read and correct your mistakes after every paragraph or even every line, you might want to re-read and change the way you have written or add something that might make the story much more beautiful. JUST DON'T DO THAT. It will only make the story more confusion and will waste your time.Just keep on writing till your first draft is ready.

11.  Don’t quit during the marathon in the Middle.

When you are writing, don't stop in the middle (personal experience). Once you stop in the middle, and come back later, you will have forgotten many important aspects and the flow is broken. of course you can take breaks in between but it should never be more than 1 day.

12.  Write a resounding ending.

There are two ways to end a good book:

first, if you are writing a book from the perspective of creating a series then a cliffhanger would be nice.

second, in most cases, your book will be a complete story, so you need to provide the readers with a satisfaction. they should have a feeling in the end that there time reading your book was worthwhile.

13.  Become a Ferocious editor.

After finishing your first draft, now you are permitted to wake up your internal editor. But this editor should not be just some run-off-the-mill editor. They should be ferocious; they should lament you for your mistakes; they should be able to make the changes in the parts you loved you loved and don't want to change. The More you let this inner editor run free, the more you will learn and better you will be able to write in the future.

With all this in Mind I hope for your success and

Happy Writing
